Selling and Stirring
Series: Donnie Rader Meeting - June 2021Ahab sold himself to do evil:
- He viewed sin as a trivial matter. ( 1 Kings 16:31)
- He married a worldly woman. (1 Kings 16:31)
- He took on a religion like that of the world. (1 Kings 16:31-33)
- Blamed others for is own problems. (1 Kings 18:17)
- He did what he wanted instead of what God wanted him to do. ( 1 Kings 20:35-43)
- He was selfish and discontent. (1 Kings 21:1-16)
- He had disregard for those who proclaimed the truth. ( 1 Kings 22:8)
Jezebel stirred him up:
- She brought in the influence of the world. (1 Kings 16:30-31)
- She destroyed the influence of Godly leaders. ( 1 Kings 18:4, 12; 19:2)
- She helped Ahab get what he wanted. ( 1 Kings 21:5-16)
- She had little regard for things of value ( 1 Kings 21:1-16)
