Prepare To Meet Thy God

An interview with God is inevitable…
    - God is always present. (Ps. 139:7-10; Jer. 23:24)
    - God is present at death. (Eccl. 12:6,7; 2 Cor. 5:6-8)
    - God will be present at judgement. (Acts 17:30-31; 2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:11-12)
Preparations must be made. (Mat. 7:21-23)
Inadequate preparations…
    - Secular education (1 Cor. 1:21-23; Acts 17:16-34; Acts 7:22, 30-31)
    - Denial of afterlife and hell.
    - Penance and fasting. 
    - Morality (being a good person) (Isa. 64:6-7; Tit. 3:5)
Proper preparations…
    - Live by the word of God (Ps. 119:9; Eccl. 12:13-14)
    - For alien sinners:
        - Believe (Heb. 11:6; Jn. 8:24)
        - Repent (Lk. 13:3; Acts 17:30)
        - Be Baptized (Mk. 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16)
    - For Christians: remain faithful (Jas. 1:26-27; 2 Pet. 1:5-11)
    - For out of duty Christians: return. (Rev. 2:4-5; Rev. 3:15-16, Acts 8:21-22)
Reasons for preparation…
    - Commandment (Mk. 13:33-37)
    - Heaven is for prepared people. (Jn. 14:1-3)
    - There will be no time when Jesus comes. (Mat. 25:10)
    - It's a tragedy when we are not prepared. (Lk. 12:4-5; Matt. 25:30, 41; 2 Thess. 1:8-9)
    - There are blessings when we are prepared. (Rev. 21:1-4)
When to prepare to meet God…
    - Can only be in this life. (Tit. 2:11-12, 2 Cor. 5:10)
    - Immediately (Acts 24:24-25)
    - In Youth (Eccl. 12:1)
    - Today (Heb. 3:7-8)
    - Now (2 Cor. 6:2; Mat. 6:33-34)
