Occasions of stumbling: 1.) Doctrine (His teachings may seem hard, church discipline, family matters, the general nature of New Testament teachings). 2.) "Misfortunes" of life. We may avoid offenses by: 1.) Considering the alternatives. 2.) Remembering God's ways work out best.
