Purity In Heart

When sin is allowed to reign in our flesh, it makes us obey its passions. When we present our members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, sin has dominion. When we surrender ourselves as slaves of sin, it becomes our master. We must count the cost of losing this war against sin. If we are defeated, we will have: Turned our backs on the only sacrifice to atone for my sins. Reopened the door for fearful expectation of judgement. Spurned the very Son of God.  Profaned the blood of the covenant by which we were sanctified. Outraged the Spirit of Grace. Declared ourselves as enemies of the Almighty. Shattered elements of influence to others that has taken years to build. Demolished years of trust that might never be rebuilt. Brought great satisfaction to the Devil. Dishonored the glory of God. We must treasure God above every person, pleasure or thing if we are to remain pure.
